Altruista Health® Expands its Local Footprint in Reston … Again

(March 25, 2019, Reston, VA) – Altruista Health, Inc., an innovative provider of care management technology solutions for health plans and provider organizations, recently doubled its square footage in the Reston International Center by leasing another floor in the building. The expansion comes just 18 months after moving its headquarters to the Center, where more than 115 local technology staff work, with new local jobs in account management, clinical and technology planned for 2019. Altruista worldwide employment is projected to top 500 by year-end.

“We are very excited to be in the vital Washington, D.C. metro area with access to such a high-quality workforce,” said Altruista Chief Executive Officer Ashish Kachru. “It’s all about having the right mix of talent to support our customers in driving cost savings and better health outcomes for their membership. We have to lead in both clinical and technology expertise – and we do.”

Altruista’s tech ops, account management and service delivery teams took over the 10th floor at the Center in late February. To help aggressively recruit a highly skilled workforce, the Altruista space on both floors has a sleek, contemporary design and includes adjustable-height desks, two cafés, meeting rooms, huddle space, telephone rooms and relaxation areas. An Altruista India operations center in Hyderabad moved to an open-concept facility with similar amenities in 2018, bringing the company’s total footprint to more than 67,000 square feet.

In the 11 years since the company’s founding, it has grown to support more than 70 million health plan members nationwide, with explosive growth in the last two years. Its revenues are expected to double from their 2017 mark by year-end 2019. Altruista’s roots are in serving state and community-based health plans, but their success has attracted national attention from commercial plans, growing the company’s GuidingCare® platform to the largest and most widely adopted care management and population health platform in the United States. The company’s ability to deliver results and its positive reputation have earned local and national honors from the media and industry groups.

Altruista Health was recently named a finalist for the Maryland Tech Council Company of the Year Award and Kachru is a finalist for the Council’s CEO of the Year. Kachru was named a 2018 Top 10 Emerging Healthcare Industry Leaders by Managed Healthcare Executive magazine and a healthcare 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.
